Creating Healthy Habits...

As healthcare practitioners, we can’t say enough about healthy habits, but why is it so HARD??
Doc says, “Get your weight down, Mr. H, or you'll be susceptible to (insert chronic disease here). That’s it, you're wondering, nothing more. How do I do that? I’m sure I’m supposed to [air quotes] be more active. Sure, but how?!
Creating and maintaining healthy habits is essential to our overall well-being. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. You do you. Find small ways to implement that thing you wish you would do on a regular basis. Start smaller than small, and achieve that. Whoo, hoo! Celebrate!! Now, set a higher goal and achieve it; then celebrate your success.
Continue to increase those goals incrementally, one step at a time, all the while remembering and acclaiming your accomplishments.

-Doesn’t need to be perfect.
-Have someone in your corner.
-You’re going to F*&* up. It’s inevitable. It’s human. Give yourself a break and begin again tomorrow.
