It's a Mindset Thing

"Mindset." It is just the latest buzzword? What does it even mean?

You've probably encountered this idea expressed in various ways. Perhaps you're a bit skeptical—I know I was. But the truth is, the way you think directly influences what you do.


Mindset: what you believe in yourself impacts your future success. There is so much more to this, but let’s focus here. 


It's a mindset that welcomes change and, naturally, growth—not a fixed endpoint. Life's unpredictable nature means things evolve, journeys shift, and paths divert. Embrace the challenges that change presents. It is all part of the process of learning, growing, becoming, and experiencing life. Bring it on!


Having trouble forming a new habit or tackling a challenge? Remember to include the word "yet" in your self-talk. Using "yet" acknowledges your current struggles while reinforcing that you can ultimately overcome anything. For example, I haven’t mastered Mediterranean cooking “yet,” but every day I do a little more. 


Finally, replace negative self-talk with positive to reinforce your growth mindset.
